July's Featured Artists

Alison Hanna:

Alison Hanna is a singer/songwriter based out of the Peoria area specializing in soulful arrangements of well-loved hits and original compositions that leave audiences cheering for more. Alison is passionate about using her music to spread light and love throughout Central Illinois, and her larger-than-life voice is quickly earning her the title of Peoria's Powerhouse. Alison’s voice has given her many opportunities over the years, including performing in The Mozart Music Festival in Salzburg Austria in 2013 and being a vocalist for Everyone Orchestra at Summer Camp Music Festival in 2019. It has also allowed her to share the stage with many talented artists including Al Shinier (Moe), Vinnie Amico (Moe), AC Carter (Tauk), Allie Kral (Yonder Mountain String Band), Kanika Moore (Doom Flamingo), Bob Kelly (The Formula), Mike Miller (Easy Riders) & Roy Ponce (Brainchild).

David Berchtold:

David Berchtold has been playing the guitar for more than 40 years. He plays a wide range of folk, rock and blues, but Piedmont Blues style fingerpicking is his specialty. Though he makes it look as smooth as spreading warm butter on cinnamon toast, his ten fingers are flying in several directions simultaneously, picking out the rhythm, bass lines, and melody all at the same time. It is magic to behold. A native of Illinois, Berchtold has studied with Jorma Kaukonen at the infamous Fur Peace Ranch and he teaches Piedmont Fingerpicking at festivals and colleges. With a rich repertoire from the greatest fingerpickers, including Rev. Gary Davis, Doc Watson, Leo Kottke, and Chet Atkins, David also has a solid hour of innovative original tunes, rooted in tradition but proving that this style of playing is very much alive in his hands.

Collin Krause:

Collin Krause is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Peoria, Illinois. In 2013, Collin took part in founding the Americana group, The Way Down Wanderers. Since forming the band, he has released two EPs, two full-length albums and two live albums with The Way Down Wanderers. The band has been touring the United States full time since 2014. In 2017, they added the United Kingdom and Canada into their touring rotation. The band has become a popular act for festivals making appearances at Merle Fest and Summer Camp Music Festival along the way. They also founded their own festival Wander Down Music Festival in 2017 which takes place in Southern IL. In 2019, The Way Down Wanderers received some national attention upon the release of their sophomore album Illusions, when they were named by Rolling Stone as “#1 of 10 Americana bands you need to know about”. The Associated Press said; Illusions “Is joyful, daring and occasionally sublime”. Illusions also reached number 3 on the Billboard Bluegrass charts. Collin and The Way Down Wanderers are currently in pre-production with Grammy award winning producer and engineer, David Schiffman, for their third full length album. They are set to begin recording in late July of this year.
